Ruger says NO to suppressor on their AR!

So I have a local customer that wanted to put a SF 556K on his Ruger AR. For whatever reason, he called up Ruger and asked them if he could put a Suppressor on their gun. They said NO as it wasn't good for it.

Just one more reason to not buy their AR.

It would be the only I would consider purchasing their AR.

    Wait what?

Isn't one of the reasons for an adjustable gas port so that you can adjust the gas for the purpose of using a suppressor?

Isn't the Ruger's muzzle break also pinned on or is this just a rumor?

Are we even sure that Ruger knows what a suppressor is?

Like was stated above, my thoughts for an adjustable gas port was specifically to run more reliable suppressed. Maybe I was mistaken............

    One would think.

In the orig. Ruger coming out thread, I stated that my Mother knew more about building AR's than Ruger does. I would like to now retract that statement.

She knows WAY MORE than Ruger does.

This doesn't surprise me given Ruger's target demographic for the AR-556. As I begin to learn more about piston systems for the AR platform I find it more curious that Ruger would choose to start out of the gate with a piston gun. ...or maybe I don't after a moments thought. They most likely did this to capitalize on a market trend and set their product apart at the same time.

Oh, why, why do I even bother to open any threads with Ruger in the subject?
