We do not warranty other companies products. Only the things we manufacturer or build.

Just one more reason to not buy their AR.

So now we have two different sources at Ruger saying two different things. See where this is going?

No chit? Wow, I had no idea that the Ruger COULD used with a can. I also figured that the adjustable gas system was purely for looks!

Sorry, but yes I know that you can use a can with ANY AR platform. My point is that Ruger seems to think that they are not to be used.

I would take the Product Manager's words as meaning "setting #1 on the Ruger SR556 is for running the Ruger SR556 suppressed," not "setting #1 on gas piston ARs is for running suppressed."

It sure sounds like the Product Manager hasn't heard about this ruling saying that Ruger does not recommend the SR556 be ran suppressed. Perhaps we could scale back the wholesale condemnation until we have more backing data?

I am sure there is most likely ONE person at Ruger that is aware that someone can put a suppressor on their gun.

The common consumer though NEVER comes into contact with that ONE person. They are just told that they cannot do it.

That would be my thought as well. It's great the product manager knows this - so why doesn't he have the CS people correctly trained to answer the question?

So, let's have whoever's in touch with the Product Manager let him know what his CS people are saying.

I'd have been astonished if it were any different, at SRC or a variety of other companies.

Seems like this might be a pretty reasonable thing to do, regardless of where one stands on the Ruger offering or their policies as a whole.
