    Optical Features

    APO Objective Lens System
Corrects color across the entire visual color spectrum—virtually eliminating chromatic aberration across the entire field of view.

    Optically Indexed Lenses
Delivers optimum image sharpness and brightness with true reticle use for full ranging and holdover from edge to edge because of computer-controlled alignment during construction.

    XD Lens Elements
Extra-low dispersion (XD) glass enhances resolution, color, and contrast.

    XR Lens Coatings
Vortex XR proprietary anti-reflection lens coatings increase light transmission with multiple coatings on all air-to-glass surfaces.

    Fully Multi-Coated Lenses
Increase light transmission with multiple anti-reflective coatings on all air-to-glass surfaces.

    Construction Features

    35mm Tube
Provides more internal room to accommodate a greater range of windage and elevation adjustment to accurately dial longer-range shots.

    One-Piece Tube
Maximizes alignment for improved accuracy and optimum visual performance as well as strength and waterproofness.

    Aircraft-Grade Aluminum
Construction from a solid block of 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum delivers increased strength and rigidity.

    Waterproof
O-ring seals prevent moisture, dust, and debris from getting inside the tube for reliable performance in all environments.

    Fogproof
Filled with argon gas to inhibit internal fogging over a wide range of temperatures.

    Shockproof
Lenses are locked in place, fore and aft, with machined locking rings to remain in perfect alignment and resist impact.

    Hard Anodized Finish
Type-3 hard-coat anodization is durable; the low-glare matte surface of Stealth Shadow Black helps camouflage the shooter’s position.

    ArmorTek
Ultra-hard, scratch-resistant coating repels oils and corrosive salts on outer glass surfaces.

    Internal Mechanism Design Features

    RZR Zero Stop
Rapid Zero Recovery (RZR) feature stops the turret from dialing below sight in range using rugged steel components. Internal mechanisms stay free of sand, dirt, dust, moisture and other foreign materials—even when setting the zero-stop position. Patent pending.

    RZR Zero Stop Turrets
Spin quickly and stop at the zero setting without counting clicks. Subtension marks match the reticle making range calculation and shooting adjustments fast and accurate.

    First Focal Plane Reticle
Scale of reticle remains in proportion to the zoomed image. Constant subtensions allow accurate holdover and ranging at all magnifications—no shift in point of impact during zoom.

    Friction Reduction System
Provides superior durability, repeatability and accuracy for the life of the product. Prevents galling or deformation of the erector screw contact point because the heat-treated, hardened-steel pad floats on the end of the turret screw and interfaces with a hardened steel ring on the erector tube for steel-on-steel contact. Patent pending.

    Turret Screws
Provides low-friction, wear-resistant performance: precision-machined from a silicon-brass alloy and treated with an advanced dry-film lubricant. Turret screw threads are ultra-precision machined to sub-2 micron tolerances (less than 78-millionths of an inch). Ultra-smooth operation and adjustments.

    Erector Tube System
Precision-machined from premium brass alloy with anti-galling properties for great strength and durability. The erector spring of chromium vanadium withstands compression, has high fatigue resistance, and is tumble-polished to a mirror finish for micro-precise elevation and windage adjustments.

    Single Spring Construction
Fully constrains the optical system for predictable, improved accuracy throughout the range of elevation adjustment.

    Glass-etched Reticle
Protected between two layers of glass (not made from wire) for optimum durability and reliability.

    Illuminated Reticle
Electronic illumination aids in low light visibility of reticle. Battery included.

    Illumination Control
Can be turned on or off with a single click between each intensity level—allowing access to a preferred illumination setting without having to progress through each intensity level. Positioned at 45 degrees off the left side of the eyepiece for easy adjustment without blocking view of the turret setting or magnification.

    Convenience Features

    MagView Bar
Combines a fiber optics magnification indicator with raised rear-facing magnification references for clear viewing in low light conditions. Patent pending.

    Radius Bar
Fiber optic turret rotation indicator provides illuminated and tactile point of reference for counting turret rotations. Patent pending.

    Fast Focus Eyepiece
Allows quick and easy reticle focusing.

    Side Parallax
Uses an adjustment mechanism on the left side of the riflescope to fine-tune focus to eliminate parallax shooting error.

    Sunshade
Reduces glare and sun reflection off the objective lens.

    Bubble Level
Promotes consistent shooting form for optimal accuracy.

    ARD Flip Cap Cover
Reduces glare and sun reflection off the objective lens.

    2 mm Hex Wrench
Used for setting the RZR Zero Stop.

Interesting how statified the tactical FFP scope market is. It seems that you go down in $200 increments from S&B to USO to Premier to Nightforce to the Razor at $2000 (is what I saw over on The Hide). IOR has been talking about adding illumination to their 3-18SH-FFP version for awhile.

To me, I'd rather wait and find a used S&B for a few hundred more, or it seems that USO used scopes can be had for not much more.

I wonder if scopes like the Premier, Nightforce and Razor are pulling people up from SFP scopes or are they taking S&B sales?

Be interested in seeing a 3-12 or a 4-16 version.
