BTW, that BCM middy looks really sweet. Is that a solid rifle for the money? Thats pushing 6920 pricing or Daniel Defense XV...
Absolutely. I'm in the process of putting one together right now. I would put it's quality up against the XV's or 6920's any day.

He is probably going off of the fact that for <$100 more you can get a BCM Middy. I know the price is actually $200 more but it also comes with a Troy BUIS so that brings it down ~$125.

I agree BIG time... Go with the BCM for the money. Any day, any time over a RRA. For what its worth, I have a S&W MP15A but had I had the little bit extra and Grant had had this special when I bought mine, I would be a BCM owner today.

Caliber: .223⁄5.56mm NATO Chamber Upper Receiver: Forged A4 Probably a .223 chamber. I have yet to see a RRA with a true 5.56 chamber.
Barrel: 16″ Chrome Lined, 1:9 Twist Inferior twist rate that has been discussed here to the point of making people cry.
Muzzle Device: A2 Flash Hider / 1⁄2−28 Thread
Trigger: Two Stage match Not recommended for a fighting gun.
    Handguard: Mid-Length Handguard Pistol Grip
    Buttstock: A2 Grip / A2 Buttstock
    Weight/Length: 7.1 pounds/35.25 inches
Accuracy: 1 MOA at 100 yards So are most rifles with quality ammo.

Also a BCG that is NOT HPT/MPI inspected.

BCM rifle comes with Troy/BCM rear sight. RRA has no rear sight.

RRA rifles and their inferior parts have been listed, cussed, and discussed here over and over.

And the usual response..........................I refer back to The Chart.

I am not a huge fan of Rock River. As a matter of fact all of my M4s are either Colt or Noveske, because I ONLY use quality products. I like BCM, not my favorite, but he was said he was trying to not spend a lot of money. Hell, if that is the case then get a complete LMT seen Here:

    http://www.rainierarms.com/?page=sho...roduct_id=1040

It is only $250 more and comes with a sight also, and it is a LMT.

In no way do I make any money from anyone related to the firearms industry.

I know of LMT's priced better than that, so I'm thinking of going that route, or the BCM middy.

Also have read good stuff about the CMMG middy for under $950.

I'm in no hurry. Thanks for the feedback.

I am basing it on the technical specs, quality and many years of fixing RRA AR's.

What are you basing your opinion on?

me too Cpecz. I"ve got one I'll put side beside the the best of them.I've bult my share over the years and with the quality parts I bought and my attention to detail during assembly.
I'm sure my M4 is almost as good if not better than most Colts or anything else for that matter.

    Plus Trial by Fire.
It's been shot nearly 4000 rounds not a hiccup.I do use quality ammunition though.
I changed out at (3500 rnds) my BCM extractor spring ,Black insert and O ring with another just like it.'I put it in a bag I have for used parts that aint broke yet.
I'm setting a service schedule and keeping a list of what I change out and install and how many rounds were shot.
I want to be proactive instead of reactive.Just like when my bolt gets 10000 rounds on it I'm going to change it out whether it's broke or not.
Oh and I changed the gas rings out at 3000 rnds.

Get a Daniel Defense XV for $999. Plus $250 rebate!

Get a Daniel Defense XV which blows away the S&W, RRA, and CMMG. You can find it for $999. Plus you then get a $250 DD blackcard gift card which let's you get anything DD. ( like an Omega rail).

Now that is a sweet deal and blows away the competition.

I have been very pleased with the DD. It is full mil-spec along with extras like: flared magwell, sweet buis, pmag, m16 bcg, CHF barrel, and lifetime warranty.

    It's a NO-BRAINER!
    VIOLENCE OF ACTION..........DON'T HESITATE.
