    LMT or BCM

    I'm looking for my second AR. I currently have a 6940 and have had several other Colts and "lesser" brands over the years. I've narrowed it down to a LMT STD16 http://lewismachine.net/product.php?...07b6b8eb95eed0 or a BCM from Grant http://www.gandrtactical.com/cgi-bin...ategory%3DBCOM
    I know the quality of both, just wondering which way you'd go. Thanks in advance.

    How much are you looking to pay? You could pick up a Colt 6920 for $1100 right now if you look around. There is a surplus right now on the market.

    I've seen those prices, just want something other than a Colt for my second AR. Price isn't an issue, just want quality for sure. I won't be getting the LMT from them, as it can be had cheaper elsewhere online.

    BCM is the best value. You get a M16 carrier, Troy BUIS, taper pins on the FSB, finished under the FSB, double heat shield on handguard, and a H buffer. All that, plus the BCM quality for a MSRP less than the LMT.

    As long as Paul holds to his quality and price, the BCM will be the best value of all the manufacturers out there to date.

    I have a LMT and really like it, I've been doing some research preparing for my next carbine. I've settled on the BCM 16" mid-length, this is the one I've got my eye on;

    I went LMT with SOPMOD. It is a nice addition to the 6940.

    Absolutely not. There's enough people on here that personally know both LMT personnel and Paul at Bravo Co. that I imagine someone will confirm it with first hand knowledge...

    I didn't hear it, that is why there is a question mark.

    They looked the same spec and are both sold by Bravo so I was asking the question.

    BCM makes there own stuff from the ground up then?
