ETA: get a fully enclosed TQ pouch if you plan to actually use your rig and have it outside in the sun for any length of time.
Ok thanks. I’m looking at the danglers and the hook and loop ones aren’t going to work. The front flap of my carrier, attaches underneath the carrier, in the back. So I’m going to have to find one that attaches via pals and I get under the mag carrier, or I’m going to have to go somewhere else with it

I wouldn't recommend anything with a zipper for a self aid pouch. Velcro closure is far more reliable to open with one hand and requires no real fine motor control to do so. Having trained ~1000 LEOs and EMS/Fire in TECC and TCCC over the last 2.5 years, I've seen it time and time again with students where they get slowed down having to do simple tasks like open a pouch because they didn't think it through.

The easiest solution is with a 2-mag M4 pouch and an IFAK insert. Companies like ATS Tactical, Tactical Tailor, etc. make good inserts that are easy to organize and carry the essentials. You can get surplus Eagle Ind mag pouches for ~$15 on eBay all day long.

It's also probably easier to mount the mag pouch upside down on the cummerbund so that it opens down...makes retrieving self aid equipment easier. I carried smoke grenades that way for years for that reason, and I have never spilled kit out while doing so.

The big Army issued TQ pouch is good. Heed ironman's advice about a closed pouch for TQ storage.

This is the tq holder I got. Is this what you're talking about? The tq is still in the packaging in there. I asked the guy that put on the "stop the bleed" course I took. He said leave it in plastic, it'll add a layer of protection from elements

No, strongly consider losing the wrapper. Two reasons.

    1) Your bandages and other plastic-wrapped items provide something to grab and be able to open the packaging with slick, possibly bloody hands. The shrink-wrap on a Tq typically does not. A Tq is, like a magazine, a consumable item. Don’t fall in love with it, keep unopened replacements stored. The plastic wrap keeping it “fresh” is also providing an impediment to rapid, efficient use.

    2) Tqs don’t usually come already configured for one-handed deployment. You have to fold them yourself, so you need to compromise their packaging no matter what.

EDIT to add: Food for thought...IF your stop-the-bleed guy told you outright to leave the Tq unopened (phrasing it that way on purpose, I have no idea what you were taught) THEN he’s also ignorant enough to not know how to set one for one-hand use. PocketDoc, on the other hand, is a superlative teacher, and makes it a standard part of his classes.

I use one of those same pouches, they work well. I haven't donated a CAT to mother nature and have no problem reaching it, so that's a plus.

For every reason that JSantoro said, remove the plastic. I was going to type almost that exact response and he hit the nail on the head. Set up your TQ for self-aid and store it in the pouch. If you wear your kit frequently, rotate out that TQ with a fresh one after a year. Then take some spray paint and mark up your old one so you know it's a training TQ.

While package is protective, the primary reason you have that TQ is for yourself. Better to remove it and preset the TQ for yourself for quick one handed use. You don't want to be fumbling one handed or with slick hands with wrapper for the wrong reasons at the wrong time.

I figured I'd split my loadout up into a few posts. Here is my war belt.

    - Blue Alpha outer belt with PALS, upgraded to Cobra buckle w/ D-ring
    - Blue Alpha Low Profile / EDC inner belt
    - HSGI Micro Grip Belt Panel (belt is set up with this 95% of the time for quick access)
    - Nite Ize S-Biner size #2 in coyote
    - HSGI Pistol Taco (flashlight)
    - HSGI Modular Pistol Mag Pouch (Leatherman Surge)
    - True North Concepts Modular Holster Adapter (MHA)
    - Safariland 6354DO-6832-702 (I'm left handed - If SKU ended in 701, it would be the RH model) Made for Glock 34/35 with RDS and X300U A/B or TLR-1S HL, but fits Glock 19, 17, P-10C, etc.
    - Walker's Game Ear Belt Clip Holder for Ear Muffs, Glasses, etc.
    - BFG Micro Trauma Kit NOW! + CAT7 TQ
    - BFG Ten Speed Ultralight Dump Pouch
    - Estaac Single KYWI Midlength (naked)
    - Estaac Double Pistol GAP KYWI Pouch (naked)
    - Black Diamond Screwgate carabiner
    - Mechanix Originals

Using Velcro OneWrap to secure most items to hook-faced side of outer belt. Nothing moves, you could do pull ups off the pouches, micro adjustments are now possible and outer belt now grips 99% of inner belt or Micro Grip panel (only exception is the two TNC MHA aluminum bars crossing the outer belt).

    More changes...

    Out with the old...

    In with the new...

Blue Force Gear Micro Trauma NOW! and Ten Speed Ultralight Dump Pouch.

My previous mounting of the HSGI Bleeder/Blow Out Pouch was sub optimal as it could not be readily accessed by both hands. I went with the smaller dump pouch in order to clear up some room on the right side of the IFAK.

So, after being dunked a year and fifty pounds ago...

Yes, I have weight to drop still--I have things cinched down as tight as I can get 'em without an assist, and I know I need to do some tweaking.

Unsure if I have the right battle-belt, but have one of those and the dump-pouch. OKC-3S Bayonet scabbard not pictured, it's cased with the rifle. IFAK pouch and contents still To-Do. Still trying to work toward a "by the book" 0302 or 0311 loadout suitable for Hands-On Learning... what's left?
