The KDH carrier is damned awful.

When you see it stripped down, you realize how crappy it really is. Though, I do appreciate the Army trying to go lighter than the IOTV. The cummerbund is the biggest weakness in the design. The way it attaches results in plate sag, the buckles break, it leaves gaps. It's total crap.

Cleaned up the trunk a bit so I snapped some pics. I have teaching belts / carriers but I try to keep mag placement the same. I have various sub loads or drop legs that can attach, such as gas mask or mag carriers. I also have 6 stack M4 mag subloads that are not pictured.

Damn, That thing looks horrible, I'd rather stick with the IBA over that. I think if it comes down to it, I'll spend my own money on a pig or something similar and hope I fly under the radar (although my new BC is a pretty cool guy former SF so I think he would be lenient on something like that if I was found out)

The advice above is worth exactly what you paid for it.

He needs to send that pic to Grey Group for their "Trunks full of Drama and Trauma"
There is a fight, that began before any of us were ever born. It will continue, long after we have retired, moved on, and left this world. It is a fight for the soccer mom next door, your mailman, the guy that bags your groceries, and most importantly, it is a fight for your family. We are in a daily battle not for land, not for resources or colonial controls...we are in a fight for our very way of life

Plus he's got the Baseball Mitt Of Doom in there, in case he wants to play a game of catch after getting in a firefight with the local Crips.

I'm a pretty big fan of the FLC as well. It's not nearly as sexy as some of the other kit, but it's pretty utilitarian. Those grimlocs however, are reputed to pop loose. Kind sucks since I usually dummy cord things to them.

That's the first thing that popped in to my head too.

The grimlocs are a pain. Carbiners and dummy cord are way more reliable.

Like you said, the FLC aint sexy, but it works well. Plus it is "free", or can be had at your local surplus shop for $30

Though, I think I will get an LBT carrier in the near future, because I damn outright refuse to wear that shitty KDH deal.
