Covering the front of lens helps in this a lot.

Shotgun for HD? Would stick with the AR.

As stated earlier I am thinking about placing a mini red dot at the 1:30 position on my fore rail, which will take care of the cqb stuff

In all reality though the Acog is going to be perfect for hunting coyote, squirrel, and racoons in the wooded North Georgia forests, rarely do you get a shot over 200 yards, if even 100 yds round here.

Yeah I noticed that occluding the sight helps keep you focused on the target and not the sight picture. It seems that as soon as you stop moving the weapon, your brain automatically pics up the magnified image.

I've been working on honing the both eyes open skill with my pistol and with the ACOG. It has taken some work to get used to it, but more range time should help that out alot.

Also, does anyone make flip up objective lens cap for the TA11's?
