I have an acog TA31F. The lack of eye relief makes it difficult to use for short range scenarios. I find it easier to use a nightforce 2.5-10x32 then the acog.
The new acog has a little more eye relief, but still less than the 4" of the nightforce and the unlimited eye relief of the aimpoint T-1.
What is the reticle size, dot and circle? Also, how far away is the deer in the third picture?
Thanks
I'd like to know too, but I wouldn't be surprised not to find out. I once sent them an email asking the MOA size of the triangle in my compact ACOG and the response I got was "I don't know". Kind of disconcerting. No "I'll find out and get back to you" just "I don't know".
I'm kind of surprised to see the published eye relief on these is only 2.4" when the old TA45R-2 1.5x model I had offered an eye relief of 3.6".
Thats what I was looking for. Thanks for the info.
So what do you guys think about this sight as a replacement for users who have Red Dot issues due to eye conditions like astigmatism?
So i guess weight is a reason someone might choose something like this over say a 1-4 variable optic?
