I know a lot of people would wish for a 2 MOA dot instead of the present 4 MOA. But besides that, what improvements to the Aimpint T-1 would you like to see? Here are my suggestions for a "T-2" model.
1. Intensity adjustment knob on the left side so that it can be adjusted by the non-shooting hand of a right handed shooter. The shooting hand never leaves the pistol grip nor is the cheek weld broken. I feel this is important in different lighting conditions during dynamic combat movement where the the red dot intensity needs to be increased and decreased continually at a moments notice.
2. The battery cover "coin slot" needs to be widened to allow a replacement 2032 battery to be used as the tool to unscrew the cover. As it is now, you need a separate tool (ex. a quarter) which can be easily lost. If the old battery died and you wanted to replace it with a new battery, it would seem logical to use the new battery as a tool. If you didn't have a new battery to use as a tool, there would be no point in opening up the battery cover anyhow.
3. Reduce the overall size of the "T-2" even smaller, possibly lengthwise, without sacrificing durability or capability. I'm sure we will see this eventually as technology evolves allowing more compactness.
4. An option switch which allows a 65 MOA red ring to be added or subtracted to the present red dot reticle as the end user sees fit. This would negate the one "disadvantage" when most compare Aimpoint reticles to EOTechs.
5. The four mounting screws seem small. Larger diameter screws would possibly make the indestructible sight even more durable.
What do you guys think of these sugesstions?
