Okay, upon closer inspection I can barely make out "Larue" on the upper receiver now. I zoomed in on it earlier and didn't see it. I thought it might possibly be the short barreled Stealth upper when I first saw it (due to the length of the barrel and the LT handguard), but the 11" handguard threw me off since most of the ones I've seen have the 10" Larue rail.
Thanks guys! That carbine looks awesome! Magpul and Larue Tactical are always a winning combination in my book!
My precious......wife gets ornery when I call the krink that, ooops!
While we're on the topic of stippling:
My current service carbine. Got bored one day on QRF and asked one of our terps for a soldering iron.
It is definitely noticable. I find it to be more aggressive then say grip tape, but the great thing about being able to do it yourself is you can adjust just how aggressive you want it to be.
I didn't remove the ribs from the XTMs like I've seen some people do to the KACs. I figured the ribs were originally there to add texture so why not compliment them as opposed to removing them completely?
And IMHO, the look isn't half bad either...
Rebuilding my 11.5" gun. Added a 10" DD rail and low profile gas block. Switched to Troy BUIS over the LMT BUIS and FSP bas block.
Just waiting on the FUG and LT Aim Point Mount
Jeep,
