Give us some info on it. Much cheaper alternative to the CMMG Mutant

it's a gen 2 psa ks47 with a 10.5" barrel. i removed the fsp and installed a geiselle sgb and 9.3" mk16 rail , i had to remove some material from the anti rotation tabs to fit around the ks47 upper. a large latch charging handle is a must since it uses a rifle spring in a carbine length buffer tube so i went with a geiselle ach which works out good. the sba3 brace and tube were replaced with a pof enhanced buffer tube and ctr stock with the .70 enhanced buttpad. i was going to put a larue mbt trigger in it but the psa ept trigger is actually pretty nice so it stayed. it's run good with pmags and some hungarian tanker mags that i have with a mix of tula and wolf so far. i'm waiting on a F4 to clear on a rex silentium mg7k to see how it runs suppressed.


a couple of hk clones for the pic thread , vector v53 and a pof mp5. waiting for a F4 to clear on a dead air wolfman for the pof and the rex mg7k will see time on the v53

Not sure any particular inspiration, besides reading IraqGunz and others on this site years ago describing the holiness that is the 12.5” carbine. This lower and BCM upper was my first AR. After trying a bunch of stuff, I found I really just like things simplified a bit.
I wanted something that isn’t all black (less “scary”). Took a couple goes with brown and OD green Krylon camo paint, but the CavArms C8 handguard is only several shades away from Magpul OD Green now; it was originally a disappointing coyote brown-esque color.
The scope is on a QD mount, as I also zero’d a MRO in a QD mount, and I interchange depending on what I’m doing.
Will flip back to a Super Tricon trigger eventually (this MBT-1S is borrowed), and I have a bunch of Geissele and Forward Controls Design items to update the lower a bit.

LMT MARS-H sbr that I'm working on. 13.5 5r rifled stainless barrel, sandman s can. Waiting on the sling and a buffer setup from heavy buffers to come in. Still undecided on the scope but thinking 6x vcog.

A couple SBR’s. Geissele Super Duty LE 10.3” on the left. BCM Recce 9 300 BLK on the right. Both began their life as a pistol. I just need EOTech to restock their website so I can buy an optic for the Geissele.
