It’s an SD-C. I have a SD-E also and honestly I can’t tell much of a difference. I really like both of them.

Kyle Defoor style, used to cut down grips to be level with 20rd mags. BCM made them official, not sure if a regular production item.

Eh, I think he mentioned it helping fit into side saddles on his bike and so on. Different doesn’t mean wrong. I am happy with the Reptilia CQG for a small option that fits well.

Reptilia makes a great shorty grip which is slightly longer than the one Kyle wanted. The KD model is the shortest OEM grip I'm aware of.
