    SBS - 870P or Mossberg?

I'm going to get a 14" shotty pump. I am leaning towards an 870P 14"... but the wait will be 2-3 months!! I can get a used, like new (on GB) Mossberg 590 14" and have it in hand in 3-4 weeks! WWYD?

870 will be $150-200 more too... but hey, its an 870 Police!

It's the ol' Remmy VS Mossy debate again.

Either will do, just depends on preferances.

See if you can find one of the Remington USSS guns - factory 14" 870P with tritium ghost ring sights (that are OK but not great quality), quality 1 round extension and speedfeed stock. There were a bunch of them on the market last year for $500-$600.

I've always like Remmy's.... they now have a 14" with low profile rifle sights. I think that might be the one I'll try..... that or a bead?

Use would be FUN and HD. I'm not an LEO or anything exciting... just a grumpy old fart, well, not that old so just Grumpy!

Anyone heard of a model 50685? I can't locate anything about this model!

Go with the 870. I have had both and they both function great. The Mossburg has an issue with a bolt backing out and binding the gun up. IMHO the 870 is a better gun.

I was thinkin I could get the Mossy for playin with while waiting 3 or 4 or 6, 8 , 9 months for the Rem. and then sell off the cheaper one to some wanting person who didn't wanna pay for the Remmy.
