    Stock length-middy?

Ok, I was thinking, yeah, I know, that's the problem

What is the feasibility on having a fixed mid length length stock that used a carbine buffer or a "mid length" buffer/tube and spring?

I was thinking of a length about an inch shorter than A1, mostly where an "M4" one is typically set. Vltor style or even a standard with a trap door. Longer than the stubby though without a bunch of padding or spacers.

    Thoughts?

I would look at having the ability for on board battery and bolt storage.

Similair concept as with current Vltor saddles and Magpul grip storage. Dual compartments, with different inserts. Ability for quick detach swivels or slot at the recvr's end for 1 1/4" sling.

If you haven't seen the Sully stock I'll bring an AR with one to the FOP match. Currently the upper I have on the lower I have a Sully on has a Bushmaster piston (POF) upper on it. You're welcome to T&E it while I'm there.

    Ok, I haven't seen one, I understand it's solid?
I was thinking of one as described above though.

Isn't there a 1" butt extension for the Sully stock? That sounds like it would be about the size you're looking for.

I should have my own Glock 21SF as well by then. My standard 21 is going on consignment tomorrow after I use it in a low-light IDPA match tonight.

Here's a pic of two ARs with Sullys, one has the spacer.

Sorry, I thought you were asking about a stock system that uses a receiver extension tube that is actually longer than the carbine tube...
