Finishing up my lower, what else do I need?

I have a lower, a LPK, a Magpul MIAD, an ASAP, and a CTR, I know I need a buffer tube and buffer and a castle nut, I don't need an end plate do I if I am using the ASAP? What else do I need? Thanks.

No you don't need an end plate, that is an end plate.

Make sure you know which CTR you have; mil-spec or commercial and buy the right buffer tube.

I have a milspec one. So I need to pick up a milspec buffer tube, are they all the same or does anyone make a stand out one?

I can't say for sure but I would buy from a reputable dealer just to be safe. If you buy from either www.bravocompanyusa.com or www.gandrtactical.com you'll get quality.

I bought my last mil-spec tube from Brownell's. It's slightly oversized by .003" so you get a nice, tight fit. My LMT Sopmod fits on it very nicely.

I have the BCM tube and a MOE stock and it fits very snug compared to the A2.

ETA: the tube and stock are milspec.

www.jsesurplus.com $25 plus $5 castle nut (advertised at $4 but they charged $5 lsat order I made). Carbine buffer and spring another $12.50---- I have a LMT SOPMOD stock on one and it's very good fitting too.

While you're at it, get a lower receiver block if you don't already have one, and a DPMS armorers wrench. I've had zero issues since I got those items from them. very reasonably priced and the items are quality.

If I'm going with a 12.5 or 11.5 inch barrel, what buffer do I need to pick up? Thanks.

Based upon my experience I would say an H2. My BCM wouldn't lock back every time with an H buffer. YMMV.
