Aimpoint PRO will run you about the same and it too comes with a mount.

Before you buy try to shoot each model you're considering. If you can't do that at least go look through one of each to make sure that it works with your eyes. When I was going through this decision I found that my astigmatism made the EOTech bloom so bad that it appeared like I was looking at multiple dots. The Aimpoint 2 moa dot on the other hand only looked like a fuzzy ball. Both the EO and Aimpoint looked great with corrective lenses, be that glasses or contacts, but once Mr. Murphy showed up the EO went to crap for me. That coupled with the battery life differences and battery cover issues EO were going through at the time made me go with the Aimpoint.

Both are good units, but you need to verify that they work for you.

Just an FYI, you can pick up an Eotech XPS2-0 from Amazon for less than $390, and although there have been some reports of the CR123 batteries being cracked, at least they aren't battering the contacts and springs inside the the device (also has a smaller profile).

I have been using the same configuration but in a sig 556. Back three years ago it was the way to go. I think that I am still good until something radically new hits the market.
