I have shot a 2 MOA Aimpoint M4 and a 4 MOA T-1 and I could see very little difference in the dot size between the two optics. This was at an outdoor range on a sunny day, while shooting from under a covered overhang.
I have seen postings on various websites about how a 4 MOA T-1 had an "actual" dot size of between 3.2 MOA to 3.5 MOA. I don't know if that is true or just internet folklore, but it wouldn't surprise me if it was true.
I could tell only a minute difference on the lower power settings (was barely usable due to the bright daylight) and couldn't tell a difference up on the higher settings necessary to shoot quickly in bright daylight.
Obviously, If i were to purchase another Aimpoint T-1, I would opt for the 2 MOA, but I see no reason to make a change away from the 4 MOA T-1 I already have.
