    Magpul MBUS thoughts?

I ordered a front and rear black Magpul MBUS for a new LMT Piston rifle. I am still up in the air if I want to put an Aimpoint or Trijicon 1-4 on it but I don't like the normal sights on my LMT rifles when they have an optic on them. My other rifles all have Troy fold down sights and I have been very happy with them however the Magpul MBUS looks pretty good and is less then half the price so I am giving them a try.

Anyone with experience with them? Good, bad etc? I saw a video of Chris Costa and was pretty impressed.

I have a set on my SBR and they work just fine. Got them dialed in and they hit where I want them to.

I wouldn't run them on an irons-only carbine because I'm not such a big fan of the square aperture, but for $50 they are an awesome sight. Can't go wrong with Magpul.

We have several threads on the MBUS, some with several pages.

My experience with them has been good. Several sets in use, and they are holding up well. One set has been used and abused, and is still hanging in there.

Like IG I run a set on my SBR to back up my T1. They do what they are designed to do. Not as nice as the Troy but do the same thing at half the coin.

I am using them as a primary because I have been to cheap to get a T-1.

Aw common now. I heard all about the closet o' gun shit you had upon your glorious return to the states. You mean to tell me there wasn't one little ol' T1 hiding in there?

I have a couple sets on rifles. I was running them on my latest SPR build, but switched the rear out to the Troy for clearance issues with the scope mount. I am also looking to swap out the front on the SPR to a Troy also. They work great so far, and the price is right, but honestly the fronts look like a giant booger on the nose of a rail set up for my SPR. Again that has nothing to do with function but just aesthetics. I spent enough on the rifle that it deserves a matching set of high quality BUIS like the Troy's.

I was focusing more on ammo and parts. Now, it looks like my job situation has changed so there will be some room in the budget for one or two.

I too have MBUS's on my SBR.

If you use these as back up sights, they work just as intended
