    On one hand I really like it but it really deviates from the traditional AK look by covering up the entire gas tube/block.

    However I think it's really cool.

    Samson...I asked this on ARFCOM also but can you use the irons? It appears the front of the rail would somewhat obstruct the front sight. W/ that said I'm pretty sure you can use them.

    On Arcom he mentioned the final top rail would be lower and there would be a slot to view the irons.

    If they make a shorter version that only extends as far as the standard plastic handguards do, and design the top rail to sit as low as possible over the gastube, I would be in for sure! The 3 & 6 O'clock side rails need to extend back further toward the reciever as well....
