    AR upper /lower fit

Hey guys I have been reading and enjoying the forum for a while now. Thanks to all that have posted. I have been learning alot. I have assembled a POF 415 with a POF upper and lower and have a CMMG lower parts kit in it. MY upper has just a little play on the lower. I have seen some factory guns and they seem solid. How can I tighten this up? I don't want to use a wedge. New pins may be?? Any thoughts would be great. Thanks

What everybody is not saying is it's not an issue. Slop will very from rifle to rifle whether factory or custom builds. Welcome to the forum.

Knock off the stupid F'ing replies right now. Either answer the guys question or direct him to an answer.

If you want to act like little kids go post on Facebook instead.

Yes - this is a warning.

you can slip an o ring around the front pin hole on the upper and it will tighten the gun up, but they don't last to long.

Armalite makes NM take down and pivot pins that are oversized.I installed a set in a LMT lower that had the pivot pin and take down holes reamed post anodize and it tightened up nicely.Otherwise I dont and would not worry about the wobble,in fact after some use the upper is going to wobble regardless how tight the setup.

Don't be concerned about the play. Some guns are tight and some are not. Be more concerned that the weapon actually functions and cycles correctly.

I have a rifle that when I first assembled it, I had to tap the upper on with a rubber mallet. About a year later, the rifle had play and was just as accurate if not more. DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT! Enjoy it!
