LMT or Stag ambidextrous AR selector?

I noticed LMT and Stag both offer ambidextrous selectors. The LMT is $5 (18%) more expensive than the Stag. I need to order a few.

Is one better than the other or is it a re-badged type of situation? Is the screw that secures the lefty side more robust on one than the other?

A sample from the search fu:

As far as the differences in the ambi selectors...personally I dont think there is two cents worth of difference in the LMT.Armalite and DPMS ambi selectors I have.In fact I'd be will to bet they all come from the same supplier.
Some have smoother dent channels than others and it varies from selector to selector no matter the label on the package. All seem to be MIM as well.
So I say get whichever is available at the moment.

Sample of one, I did have a DPMS break off the very first time I tried to actuate it. I bought an LMT and it's been fine.

I too wonder if they are from the same provider. I haven't found one to be better than another. FWIW I've had 5 or 6 from 3 different manufacturers over the years. Never a problem with any although some are smoother than others, but it seems luck of the draw rather than manufacturer. Grease the groove and they are smoother.

I ordered a Stag Ambi for my Colt 6920 and it did not fit my lower properly. Once screwed in, it still left a gap between the safety and lower. The area where the screw goes in on the right side was also milled too much and had a small cut in the area where the crew screws in. I know it's hard to picture without a photo, but I got rid of it and will no longer buy subpar parts because they seem to make it out of the warehouse without proper QC. I too, thought an ambi safety was an amby safety, but obviously some are better quality than others. If the LMT was available, I would have gladly paid the extra $$ for it.

Who even has any in stock? I've been looking for a non-DPMS selector for over a month now.

Rainier Arms has Stags. I just got 2 last week. Comparing them to the DPMS I have here the set screw on the DPMS is quite a bit beefier than the Stag. I'm still not sure that there are not many manufacturers out there marketing under different names.

FWIW I have a sample of five different Stag Ambi selectors and all are gtg with smooth operation and solid engagement at both positions.

The Armalite and DPMS ambi selectors I have were picked up over the years dating back to 2000.The LMT ambis I got from Grant last year so they are the newest of the bunch.
The screws used on all the ambi's I have are the same size. Some were marked YFS.Which I replaced due to hatred of anything YFS..
Otherwise I see very few differences in the appearance or fit.As I mentioned some are smoother than the others on the detent, some have obvious MIM/casting seems, and then again others are polished smooth.Ive also seen variations in how well the levers time which is related to where the detent channel starts and stops affecting the timing.Luck of the draw IMHO as it seems they vary from lot to lot no matter what brand is on the package label.
If you get a bad one, contact the manufacturer and get it replaced.

As far as a source...call Grant at G&R Tactical and see if he has any of the LMT ambi's.He did not have them on his site last year but they were available.
    Otherwise Armalite has thiers available:
