Well considering I live about 30min from their facility I might pay them a visit if time permits Thanks for all the input.

What to do? Well if you are after a Mil-Spec weapon (or above), then sell it or keep it as a back up.

If it was my weapon, I would do the following:

    1. Check chamber to make sure it is 556 NATO.
    2. Buy a spare bolt (LMT or BCM).
    3. Make sure that the gas key is staked correctly.
    4. Make sure that the castle nut is staked correctly.
    5. Buy a BCM bolt upgrade kit.
    6. Add an H or H2 buffer.
    7. Change out the buffer spring.

If you contact the manufacturer about the barrel steel specs, what (if any) HPT/MP testing they do on the bolt and barrels, be prepared for them to either not know, tell you it isn't needed or give you the standard line of "its mil-spec."

Ask to see the cert for the barrel steel and MP testing.

1,3,4,6 are all good to go. As far as swapping out the spring where can I find a heavier spring? Another question, what does having the barrel mpi/hpt do for the functionality aspect of the barrel or does it just insure durability? As well as the material its made of( 4150 vs B-11595E)?
