Exactly. I've never heard of a barrel eroding/rusting away because of the lack of phophate/parkerizing under the FSB. .

The question was what are the differences between the Colt and LMT and one of them is the fact that LMT doesn't park under the FSB.
All i did was bring up this FACT.
I run both Colt and LMT and don't have any issue with either.

I am not trying to sound like a smart-alek but have you called Colt, I have talked with them a couiple of times in the past few days and they are pretty nice on the phone and had all kinds of tech/spec info.

I would think the biggest difference is Full-Auto and then the shorter barrel.
