Question Recommend a cerakoter for precision rifle?

Never done it on a bolt gun.

Wondering if anyone here has used a reputable vendor.

    Thanks!

There are places out there that will do this, and many of the high end precision rifle builders (like GAP) will provide Cerakote or other coatings on rifles. You might ping a couple of gunsmiths in your area, they probably have some 3rd party company that they deal with. But, most of the folks I know who get into precision rifle (at least in my area--and we live in a VERY damp/humid area in the Pacific NW), don't bother getting them coated. Don't know why that is exactly, I just know that most people either don't coat them at all, or they may spray on Krylon paint finishes on their own, but that is about it. I have asked a similar question before even on this forum, and the majority response I got with regarding to coating rifles is, "Don't waste your time/money." A few people do find they need the coatings, but most don't. If you think about it, the folks who settled the American frontier were working with non-coated rifles, and yet somehow they were able to keep them in good working order.
