I tried some new windowed PMAGs in a friend's SCAR and they did indeed drop free when empty, whereas an older PMAG would not drop free even when loaded (thus it weighed more).

    Oh how I want a Scar-H.

Are Scar-Hs available to the military as of now?

And given the popularity of AKs, why not design and manufacture an AK Pmag to give the circle 10s a run for the money.
I don't know about Pmags, but the US Palm (TangoDown) AK mag in 7.62x39 is getting good reviews so far. I've only seen it available for pre-orders at $29.99, which is pricey for an AK mag but the same that Circle 10s are going for. Hopefully they'll live up to the hype and we'll finally have a worthwhile US-made AK mag. Also hopefully, prices will come down after production ramps up for a while.

I believe the reference was for a 7.62x51 pmag, not 7.62x39. I wouldnt mind trying this new AK mag though.

From my personal observations, the PMAG functions very well in the Mk16. It does not drop freely full or empty (greater then 90% ofthe time).

Im not sure about the Civ SCAR and Mk16, but the TD mags work well in the Mk16's and drop freely.

    - Nick,

I thought your Emag's were supposed ot address this?

It is in reference to a 7.62 x 39 TD mag. I believe.

    Sir,

My FDE Gen 1 PMags all drop free from my SCAR 16s... Other colors do not for some reason.

Just thought you mind find that helpful or interesting.

Anyone have any idea how many civilian version SCARs have been sold?

How about any LE agencies using them?
