What would be the best substance to use to "glue" this rear Aimpoint magnifier ring in place?

Don't know. When I find out I will post here.

Before I got a chance to try my idea of a method to "glue" the rear ring onto my Aimpoint magnifier: Elmer's white glue; I came up with what I think is a better solution.

I've installed an Aimpoint rear flip up lens cover in the place of the rear ring. The same lens cover that works on the rear of the sight itself also fits the magnifier.
