    Stainless Steel Colt

Here are a couple of photos of some enhancements to a stainless Colt that I worked on recently.

    Colt NRM 1991 stainless steel
Trigger job with BCP ignition parts
Long solid trigger with permanent overtravel stop
    STI grip safety
Match barrel bushing fit to Colt barrel
Heinie rear sight and dovetail front sight
    Ed Brown ambi thumb safety
    Stippled front strap with borders
Reliability tune with a bar stock extractor and an oversized firing pin stop
    Satin finish
    Micarta grips

    Great looking gun.

I have an XSE stainless with brushed flats. Great looking gun.

that looks great. I like the borders on the stippled front strap. I generally don't care for stippled steel, as it tends to look sloppy, with no defined edges. But the way you bordered it makes it look very neat, controlled, and classy.

Thanks guys. I started putting borders on the stippling several years ago for the very reasons Ben stated..

    Very nice pistol, sir.

I agree with Templar. The phrase that keeps coming to mind when I see your handiwork is "understated elegance".

Thanks for posting the photos, I always look forward to seeing your work.
