    M1913 Railed Forend for 870?

I already have several tac-lights. Right now I really can't justify spending $200+ for a Surefire forend with the built in light.

To that end, what are your recommendations for an M1913 railed forend for the 870? I really only need a bottom rail. Is there anything where just the bottom has a rail?

If you're handy with a dremel, you can bolt on a rail section. In one of our shotgun threads here, there are photos of some done that way.

Otherwise, I'd recommend the Surefire railed forend for the 870.

I have this Streamlight mount on my 1100. It drops in right under the magazine tube cap and has enough (standard Picatinny) rail space for a TLR-1. It mounts fairly tightly to the forend, but there is a small gap.

If you wanted something with a full rail section, this won't do it, but it's an inexpensive option.

Having one of the surefire rails on my 870 for a short time, I will also work very well as a cheese grader on your hands. Even with ladder covers on, It chewed my hands up pretty well during a class. what ever thats worth....
