    Viking Tactics 2 Day Basic Pistol 14-15 JAN 2010 Fayetteville, NC

    Tom Di Tomasso of Viking Tactics will be conducting a 2 day basic pistol class on 14-15 JAN at a private range outside of Fayetteville, NC.

    Tom recently retired from the US Army after 20 years of service which included multiple combat deployments to Somalia, Bosnia, Afghanistan and Iraq with Special Operations forces.

    The Viking Tactics Basic Pistol Course is designed for the pistol shooter who wishes to develop or further enhance reflexive pistol handling skills. These skills increase shooter confidence in tactical situations. This course is not a slow-paced bull’s eye course; it provides shooters with a clear understanding of what can be performed in a combat shooting situation with your pistol. Not only will you master new shooting skills, but you will also learn basic troubleshooting and maintenance of your weapon system. We will also discuss different types of carry and concealment options. The below list is just part of what will be discussed during this course.

    - Fundamentals of Marksmanship
    - Stance
    - Grip
    - Weapon Retention
    - Dry fire and live fire accuracy drills
    - Loading/Unloading
    - Slow Fire
    - Rapid Fire
    - Reloads
    - Draw Stroke
    - Speed shooting drills

    Equipment needed:
    - Pistol with 5 Magazines
    - Holster
    - Gear to carry pistol magazines
    - Wrap Around Eye Protection
    - Ear Protection
    - Notebook w/pencil
    - Water and Snacks
    - Small Sharpie
    - Rain Gear
    - Cold weather gear

    Ammo requirement:
    1500 rounds (typically 600 per day with a buffer of 300)

    This class would be a great primer for VTAC Pisol 1.5.
