    Aimpoint vs clone

Not looking for myself, I'm already convinced. Just need a little help for the un-believers...

A couple-three years ago I saw a thread comparing Aimpoints to cheap clones. It was complete with detailed pics of the interior, glass, electronics, etc.....

I think the author sacrificed a genuine Aimpoint to show the difference between the real deal and the fake.

I'm not even sure if it was on this forum or another, but I've been looking like crazy and can't find it.

Does this ring a bell with anybody?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

The poster may have been an M4C member named FJB. LtCol. Blish is quite knowledgeable regarding Aimpoints. You might wish to search for posts under his name.

He also has some good information on the downrtange.tv website. I think his video that shows him kicking a unit all over a range, then firing another mag with no change of zero is there.

I have three Aimpoints, and will be buying two more.

Now if I could just get a hat from them........

    That's the one, thank you.

I looked on a couple other gun sites, but checking TOS never crossed my mind!

Nope. Marshall doesn't do fakes, his are conceptual clones and are clearly marked Primary Arms.

I'm trying one of his Micro clones right now to see how I like the idea of a Micro. It's cheap insurance against my buying a $600 Aimpoint Micro and hating it; after I replace it I'll move it over to one of my .22LRs. It's a pretty damn impressive sight for $89.

Even Marshall says his stuff is for casual use, not SHTF weapons.

I know his aren't marked Aimpoint, but they are incredibly physically similar.

That's not a knock on him or his biz, and I know he sells the real deal as well.

In the link posted, the OP shows both a fake that has Aimpoint markings, and one that does not, so I was wondering if those were the guts of the ones he sells.

That said, I would like to see the guts of the ones he sells.

I am new to this forum and don't want to violate any rules about promoting my products but here is some limited info. Ours do not violate and current design patent or have fake logos. No legitimate manufacturer even in China will produce counterfeits. They are generally crap.
