    Will Benchmade sharpen knives?

My old Benchmade Mini Griptilian is in desparate need of a sharpening. Because it has the serrated tanto blade I'm not sure it's something I want to attempt on my own.

Can I send it back to Benchmade and have them sharpen it? Has anyone ever sent one back?

From what I recall, they will sharpen the plain edge (under the Life Sharp program), but not the serrations. I think the cost is $5 to cover return shipping. I sent my old Benchmade 710 in a couple of years ago and the turn around time was about 10 days.

A buddy of mine did this a few years back. They did sharpen the serrations, but he said that it cost him 15$ + shipping.

I found this about the serrations. The letter says they do not.

However, it is easy enough to do so with a small diamond file, if you have seen it done.

A call might determine what what they will do.

Thanks for the PDF! I haven't been able to access their website all day but I can get to the PDF file.

or if you have a local knife shop they can do it.

I had my Emerson (half serrated) sharpened at the local knife store for 2 bux ! they did a great job and even fixed a nick in the blade.

make sure it's a good store though

If the local knife shops are like the local gun shops I wouldn't trust them with a butter knife from my son's school cafe.

I can't get on their website either. It was working last night, though.

Thanks for the PDF. They must have just done the non-serated part of my knife.
