    EOTech fell off!!!!

So I was shooting with the M4 last weekend and behold...my EO Tech 552 falls right off.

It seems the plate at the end of the screw is stripped a little bit, and now it won't stay on. What in the h*ll can I do to fix this? I paid too much for ths thing to let such a small part ruin it for me.

    Any help??

Get the GG&G Accucam. It will make this problem go away. You may want to get the riser mount version while you are at it.

That wont help at all if the threads on the plate are stripped....

I've just received my first Eotech, and mounting instructions specifically say not to use loctite. I was about to open a separate thread when I saw this. Sounds like common sense should prevail and loctite should be applied, eh?

Use BLUE loctite, there's no reason not to.

I've witnessed my good friend's EOTech 552 fall off of his LMT 16" M4-type upper back in 2006 and asked why he did not apply loctite. His response was "I followed the instructions." He now runs Blue Loctite on all his EOs and hasn't run into the same issue, yet.
