    "Improved" Upper Receiver Question...

I recently dug up a thread comparing the Vltor MUR and Larue Stealth...
    http://m4carbine.net/showthread.php?...pper+receivers

I think both are great but am curious as to how they are with regards to rail compatibility?
Are they compatible with the DD Lite rail and Mk18? They both appear to be beefed up so Im curious if they have any room to accommodate the rear screws of these two rails.

The early VLTOR MURs would require that you mill (or Dremel) of the anti rotation tabs on the RIS II rails to fit. The newer ones are relieved and will work without modification.

That's good to hear. What about the Larue Stealth? Any mod's required on the tabs? Does the thicker dust cover "rod slot" on the Stealth allow the second rear cap screw to pass?
