Wouldn't that new X-Ray airport security machine that everyone were complaining about violating privacy have caught the containers he had? Seeing how it takes a picture and any non-human shape is very evident.

Sure, they saw some containers that look like all of the other containers they see every day. So what?

We are just fortunate that we are at war with amateurs. If these guys ever got serious we would be in real trouble. The reason the attack failed is because of operator error. In other words, we are putting our security in the hands of our enemy. We are not doing anything smart to stop these attacks, we are just hoping that they do not succeed.

Look at the last few of these attacks. They were all foiled due to operator error or to the quick actions of private citizens - not due to the fine work of TSA or DHS.

Thermate is very easy to make and hide. We are fortunate that these dummies are obsessed with explosives. From a terrorist stand point, they would be much better off using incendiaries.

And it is only a matter of time before they start to implant bombs directly into their bodies. I can't wait to see what TSA's countermeasure for this is!

I'm not talking about the x-ray machine that you put your shoes and carry on baggage, I'm talking about the x-ray machine that you physically walk through and this is why ::::>

I was under the impression that the container was PHYSICALLY on his body during the entire thing, so if he had walked through such a machine it would have noticed abnormal shapes on the mans body

This guy was removed from the Terrorist watch list. (1.2 Million + names)

His father had contacted security people in the U.S. and warned that his son may be up to something.

He Boarded an international flight without a passport.

He was escorted on to the plane by a "well dressed man".

He was being video taped throughout the entire flight prior to any incident occurring.

He had a small carry on bag for an international flight from Nigeria to Detroit.
