    FFL in Gettysburg area

I have been dealing with my local FFl dealer for some time now. When I say "dealing" I mean putting up with his shit. I've never bought anything off the guy because his prices are way above retail. For instance $30 for a brownell's mag. $799 for an armscor .22 ar, $14.99 for a box of prvi 55gr. ammo, that kinda crap.

Now he's charging a $40 fee to do transfers and when my wife went in to buy me some ammo they offered no assistance and blew her off. Even though she had a list in her hand and knew exactly what she wanted. Does anyone know of a dealer who charges something reasonable (say $25) who is somewhere in my area? I really don't care if it costs me $15 in gas. I'm so done with this guy.

BTW I get about 15 mpg and live in Gettysburg, PA. and he/she would have to take transfers from non dealers.

Not sure if it's worth drive, but Ebersole Gunsmithing just south of York or Jim Hakes in Wrightsville will treat you right.

I take the drive up to Mechanicsburg Ordinance in Mechanicsburg and have Rich there do all my transfers I get shipped in for my internet orders. It's about $20 or so with him for a transfer last time I was there (and I get worse gas mileage than you).

Go see Eric at Stubby Gear, he'll take care of you and while he doesn't have a huge inventory, he will order just about anything you need and his prices are comparable to Brownells and others. The other thing I like about Eric is that during the "Obama" gun crunch, he didn't jack up his prices on P-mags and stuff like a lot of the other local dealers did.

You could try Taylor's Trading Post. I never bought anything there but I checked his shop out and talked with him for a while. Seems like a real stand-up guy. Brad

I'd take a look at the FFL finder on gunbroker.com

    http://www.gunbroker.com/ffl/SearchF...0Code&sv=17013

I used to live over in Carlisle and used a guy over in Hburg.
I REALLY miss PA... the land of the $10 transfer. I now consider myself lucky to have found like the one guy is South FL who only charges $25 per transfer!?!
