Ok I see what you mean now. I thought you were leaving it on like an Aimpoint. Sorry if I offended. I just got mine. You could just take the battery out of the sight when not in use.

*just an option, I am not affiliated in any way....saw many positive comments on TOS.
I own/use four Primary Arms optics and they're definitely worth considering. The M4 style 2MOA multi-reticle red dot sight is fantastic!

Thanks for the info guys... I recently got a chance to look at the EOTech and Aimpoint brands. I have made up my choice on what brand and have narrowed it down to 2 models. I really like the comp ML3, got to look at it and play with it for a while. Question now is how does it compare to the ML4. Any thoughs or experiences between these 2 models?

Also, didn't like the EOTech's reticle, looks blurry,
    Aimpoint's 2 MOA red dot = NICE!!!

Unless you need NV or to be able to dive with the RDS, get the C3.

    Agreed. Battery life is horrendous

If you are just using your rifle for plinking it might not be a bad option but id seriously suggest buying at least a couple of packs of spare batteries.

I have found the T1, LT660 combo to be difficult to beat for a RDS used inside 200 yds. Its light, durable and its battery last for ever.

If you need a bit of magnification the AP 3X on a swivel is an excellent option.

+1. Althought the H-1 works just as well unless you need something that is NVG compatible.

If I am going to spend that much, I'd rather spend it on a S&B Short Dot.
