Red Dot sights

I have an EO-Tech 512 with GG&G throw lever and its working great for me so far. Shot 613 rounds through my LWRC M6A2 in the desert a while back and worked just fine, did not shut off and retained zero. Its still using the same AA batteries that came with it when I bought it with my DDM4 earlier this year (I don't get to shoot as hard as I want, saving money and being stuck in CA )

I bought a T1 with Bing cashback early in December as an early Christmas present for myself. As my first Aimpoint optic, I thought I would not be as fast with it as the EOTech but its an excellent lightweight sight. I run that on my BCM exclusively while I switch the EO Tech between the DDM4 and 2 piston uppers I own.

Both my eotech (552, 512) the batteries are dead and haven't been used for more that 1 hour. They die just sitting turned off. Turned on my aimpoints (T-1)and they work great. I like the eotech better for viewing but won't buy again if the batteries are dead every time I pick them up.

Maybe mine was defective, even turned off it drained the battery.
