Is it the year "two thousand ten" or "twenty ten?"
To me, "two thousand ten" sounds right, but then again, nobody pronounces the year 1910 "one thousand nine hundred ten."

Shouldn't it be 20 - 10 much like how we said 19 - 99?

To me it doesn't matter how it's said. YMMV.

We've become acustomed because how would you say 2000 other than two thousand? I'll still say two thousand ten.
