Perfectly legal to import ammo. The law only applies to ammunition purchased inside the state. A CA resident can buy from out of state and bring it back into CA and it's 100% legal and there isn't a damn thing CA can do about it.

Except this is not about ammo registration or anything. It is about guns microstampinhg serial numbers or other stuff on fired shells

I was addressing the issue brought up about AB962's passage.

Also the microstamping law will never be implemented due to the aforementioned patent clause the NRA and CGF added at the last minute.
