    Strange, they don't tell you (if they did I didn't see it) on their web site that you need to register your Glock or 1911 as an SBR if you go with the barrel under 16". Even though it is a "conversion" kit, the second you put a shoulder stock on it you will have an SBR.

    nope, its there- under the 1911 set:
    (Adding A Vertical Fore Grip or Rear Stock Would Be an NFA SBR Configuration, all NFA rules apply)

    Stock with Sling mount is not an SBR, also adding a 16" barrel as pictured above is not an SBR.
