    "After Armageddon" on History Channel

Anybody else watching this? It seems like it would be right up our alley in terms of survival in a post-apocalypical state. It's showing how a family would deal with a complete and vast breakdown of society due to a flu pandemic.

They haven't gotten to the part where the family leaves their home (read bugs out) but it's getting there. I think it'll be a great show, and look forward to seeing the rest of it.

This is seriously making me want to readdress my bug-out plans. They've just mentioned the need to have not 3 or 4 days worth of supplies, but 90 days worth.

I'm fairly certain that I have 90 days worth of ammunition, but my food supply as it currently stands would run out in about 14 days. They're doing a scarily good job of depicting exactly the hardships and hurdles people would face should the unthinkable occur.

Figures. It's not on again 'til Midnight. Hopefully it will be On-Demand.

90 days is a good start, but you should, in an ideal situation, have at least 6-months on hand.

just watched the last half, it comes back on at 11 central time. makes me feel pretty good that the items they brought up are a lot the items that I have made sure are part of my survival kit, especially antibiotics, apsarin, antihistamins and multi vitamins. Little things that you don't really think about in the larger scope of things...hammers, saw,NAILS...you don't think about that stuff, but when you need it,,,you need it.

I'd love to stockpile 90+ days of stuff, but I just don't have the space. We're packed in as it is.

Lightbulb How well are you prepared ?

This show should be required watching for anyone who regularly visits the Disaster Prep' & planning forum on M4C.

It will make you think, for sure.
