Which Aimpoint model do you like?

The title says it all. Which Aimpoint model do you like, mine will be going on a patrol rifle so it will probably get some character marks.

i've noticed almost everyone here seems to really like Aimpoints products, why them over EoTech?

    Thanks,

I hear there's a guy that goes by 'nutnfancy' that has a bang-up review posted on YouTube.

I just got the Comp ML3 with La Rue mount for the holidays and LOVE IT! Only shot with it once, under 100 rounds, mostly to sight it in, but I can't say enough about how much easier it makes everything.

I asked for the "3" model because I like the choice of having a 2MOA dot w/o paying for the M4, and the ML over the M because I never see myself using any type of NVD.

Over time, Aimpoint models have proven to have a much longer battery life for one. Aimpoints have also always been easier to manipulate with gloves on. This is an issue that Eotech I think has fixed with later models. But those are my 2 biggest reasons for going with Aimpoint optics. Among others of course.

I prefer the Aimpoint Comp M4S with LT mount, and like the fact that it takes AA batteries.

I like the Aimpoint Micros, the T-1 and H-1. They do everything I need an Aimpoint to do in a small, lightweight package. I had an M4S, and while it was an awesome optic, I found no advantage over the T-1 considering the increase in size and weight.

I also had an EOTech 512. I like the EOTech reticle, but I don't care much for the overall design of the sight. Many of the models are fairly bulky, and the controls suck IMHO. I don't like the little buttons for up/down in brightness and on/off. Moving the buttons to the side on newer models was an improvement, but putting crappy controls in a better position is a small step forward. I'd prefer a simple rheostat like Aimpoints have. The newer, smaller EOTechs (like the XPS2) address many of the old problems. If I were to buy any EOTech today that would be my choice. An XPS2 with a rheostat control on the side and which has proven itself to be rugged and reliable would be something I'd give a serious look at.

Until that exists I'm happily sticking with my T-1. Now that the H-1 is available in the matte finish it's an excellent choice, unless you need night vision compatibility. Then the T-1 is the answer.

Same Aimpoint Comp M4s/LT-659 (tall) mount for me as well. AA Battery lasts for years.
