Could your gas tube be full of bore cleaner or CLP?

Foaming cleaner will migrate up the gas port into the tube. Hot gases will clean out the tube, all over your shooting glasses.....ask me how I know.

    Cool mod.

Another tip: You could put something like Vaseline on the back of the receiver before applying the sealant to help prevent sticking.

Nope. It's more than likely excess CLP on the BCG.

Seems like you have good suggestions to fix your problem.

    Now I have a question:

    what is "the good gas?"
