Attempting to interfere with peoples illusions rarely ends well.

Not true. You don’t have to BE a Christian to get elected; you have to SAY you are a Christian to get elected. This way, you get the majority vote and support for damn near anything you want to do, such as, sending the lower class to get fragged on the front lines while your fat pockets just get fatter. Those that think there’s a difference between the political parties baffle me.
As for those saying stuff like, “who cares”, maybe some of us are just as passionate about our beliefs as the fundamentalist religious groups are. Maybe we too, feel the “conviction” to spread our “message”.
Sure, it’s kinda cool that Trijicon uses verses that refer to light on their optics, but I don’t make my decisions based on what is cool, I make them based on what is right. I don’t feel that it is responsible to feed the stereotypical image of America as a “Crusading Christian Empire”.

The sad thing is that many Americans see nothing wrong with this, and are damn near itchy for war because it fulfills their prophetic apocalyptic fantasies. (just like the dumbass jihadist)

It doesn’t matter if someone has believed something for 10, 20, or 2,000 years, it’s never too late to learn something new (truth), it just takes courage. The world would benefit greatly if the fundamentalist types would take an HONEST assessment of themselves and their belief system. Questions such as, Why do I believe the way that I do? Is it because I have asked myself tough questions that challenge my faith and answered those questions honestly, or is it because It’s what I have been taught my whole life and it gives me warm fuzzies about where I’m going when I die. If there is a question you can’t answer regarding your faith, it’s not because “God works in mysterious ways”. It’s because you have been “blessed” with an intelligent mind. If it doesn’t make sense, there is a reason for it. If there is a God, He didn’t give us brains just to take up space in our thick skulls. Wake up and get real!!!!!!!!
Denial is EXTREMELY deceptive. There are two things I have heard all my life about truth:
    1. It hurts
    2. It will set you free.
    Both are very accurate.
Before people call me an unpatriotic, devil worshiping hippy liberal, or whatever. I have served my country both at home and abroad. When I finish my degree, I will continue to serve my country, even if Ted Haggard is president. Why? Because I am an American first and foremost. If there is any country that has the capacity to rise above all the BS that pollutes this planet, it is America.

I don't know anyone who is itching for war and no one who has prophetic apocalyptic fantasies. And I doubt you do either. There may be a couple such people holed up in a compound somewhere or at the top of a mountain in Montana* but most Americans and most all Christians I know are not that type (and comparing them to jihadists is just ignorant).

What I find fascinating is that the anti-theists are every bit as sure of their cause, close minded, and bigoted as any religious sect.

And before anyone says that "belief in imaginary friends" is the source of all the worlds ills, as bad as the current crop of Islamic fundamentalists are, or the Crusaders were, their body count is but a shadow of the body count accrued by the atheistic governments of the Soviet Union and China over the past 100 years.
“The ruling class doesn’t care about public safety. Having made it very difficult for States and localities to police themselves, having left ordinary citizens with no choice but to protect themselves as best they can, they now try to take our guns away. In fact they blame us and our guns for crime. This is so wrong that it cannot be an honest mistake.” – former U.S. Sen. Malcolm Wallop (R-Wy.)

    To be fair...

I don't think most feel the need to be holed up in a compound. They're just waiting on a ride.

There's a huge market here for "end times prophecy".

    Couldn't agree more.

I'm personally an agnostic who leans toward ID(and thus a "designer").It's religion(and dogma in general) that I have no use for.
