Remember, one of the main goals was to keep the rifle cost effective.

It's still all speculation until the official word, but if it is true, the reputation of all companies involved will take a hit.

I wonder how MAGPUL feels about this........ 2700........ OBR, thank you very much.

Magpul just replied to another thread stating that is not what they heard it would be. Reassuring to say the least

I called BM today and they quoted $2630 for the "basic" configuration and just over $3000 for the "enhanced" config. The guy on the phone said they are taking orders tomorrow.

that.price.sucks. if c.daly releases the tavor with a 1:7 and sub 2000.00 msrp, they will clean up. apples and oranges yes, but in the end arent we just buying flashier hammers anyway...

The price is not too scary. I can dump some AR15 stuff to get it under 2k.

    However, I need the following

    5.56 ACR
    Plastic handguard
3 rail strips to bolt to handguard
    folding stock
    SBR barrel 1/7

If there is not some type of SBR solution for the SCAR by June, it will get sold to help fund the ACR...provided the ACR has an SBR solution. If neither have an SBR option...well I dont know what I will then.

We have all waited at least 3 years and the day is almost here. By this time tomorrow, someone will have confirmed information from SHOT. I really hope they keep the price under 2K and build a boat load of them to keep the prices low.
    We will see tomorrow night!

Originally it was supposed to utalize AR barrels (endless barreling options), and the cost was to be sub 2K.

If these price rumors are true, the well vetted SCAR looks more and more attractive.

If the price is over $2000 I'll probably have to pass as well. That's too bad because one of the best features of this rifle was that it was supposed to be sold around $1500, and I hope that turns out to be true. Its silly the outrageous prices the SCAR goes for.

The Bushmaster ACR for the commercial market is available in the Basic and Enhanced configurations. The additional features for the Enhanced version include an AAC® Blackout™ NSM Flash Hider for exceptional reduction of muzzle flash; multi-functional, three-sided aluminum hand guard with integral MIL-STD 1913 accessory rail; and folding, six-position telescoping composite stock with rubber butt pad, sling attachment mounts and 2-point push button sling. Each configuration of the commercial ACR is offered in a non-reflective, black finish or Coyote Brown (30118). Suggested retail price: Basic $2,685 and Enhanced $3,061.
Im still waiting for street pricing, MSRP is irrelevant like buying a car

I think that's what everyone really wanted. A cheaper alternative to the SCAR. Of course, when they started this project 5.56 ammo was pretty affordable too!

    Spooky
