Bill Maher is a jerk on the show but Ron Paul doesn't take the bait and flawlessly gives rebuttals. I guess Maher didn't have much material since he seemed to focus on the popular belief the Civil War was based solely on slavery issues (then Ron Paul shot him down). Despite his attempts to make Paul sound like a loon, Ron Paul came off as civilized and well spoken the entire time.

One of the many pathetic things about Maher is that he claims to be a "libertarian."

He's not. Wanting drugs legalized is not sufficient to accurately label one's self as a "libertarian."

Ron Paul is a libertarian.

I agree completely... I consider myself an independent who sways mostly to the democratic side of the fence, but I like what Ron had to say. I will definitely give him some serious consideration if he decides to run.

Maher is one of those people who tries to excuse their rude behavior (i.e. he's an a**hole) by labeling it "politically incorrect." No, Maher, you're not politically incorrect, you're just an a**hole.
