    The 30 remmy...

    Am I all wet??

Wouldn't this round be a hoot with 165-180gr pills in a suppressed sbr going around the 1k fps mark??

Save the 6.8 for the speedy stuff...this round looks like a wicked quiet pig rig could be in my future.

...does the whisper cycle in the AR?? Only whisper's I messed with were on turn bolts and shooting really heavy pills. What about a 7.62x39 AR...anyone got those dialed into sewing machines?? That case should work for 165-180

Hitman, i would imagine it's still a work in progress but like the concept of the case. I personally like the 6.8 for a speedy version, but the mid level 30cal weight pills going sub in a small package has an appeal to me. I would guess 10-12 rounds for a standard 20mag?? I Have shot the 458 and 50 beowolf but they are sledge hammer for what I want.

Yea it will cycle it www.quarterbore.com has a section dedicated to the 300 whisper.
No personal experience with it but I have looked through the forum.
I think most run a carbine gas length with supersonic ammo.
If you want to do sub-sonic and supersonic most use pistol length gas system with an adj gas block.

thanks...i really wish i could blink my eyes and have a reliable and cycling 100gr sub-sonic 223 load that will run back to back with any other 223/5.56 mag i carry but I understand it's a reach.

some dedicated subsonic sbr upper is where i'll have to be at some point. Building around the 150-180 weight seems ideal.

    friggin black gun disease.

There are rumors that the Rem. rifle does not use a standard AR lower or mag. The lower supposedly has a wider (larger) magwell than the standard AR.

If that is the case, I don't see this thing going very far.

I hope it's a big enough success to generate some options for uppers. The ballistics aren't bad.
