    Daniel Defense Aimpoint Micro Mount

I'm thinking about putting an H1 and DD A1.5 BUIS on my LMT. I think I have decided to use a DD Micro Mount mount since I don't plan on taking it off and on. The carbine will be installed and left alone. Can anyone think of a reason to use a QD mount instead?

I will be using the DD mounts on all my Aimpoint micros going forward, indlucing removing throwlever mounts to use the DD.

I really like my DD micro mount, I do not miss the QD feature at all - at least for my application (5.56 middy with fixed sights).

Wow... That is a pretty high recommendation.

My thoughts were that I don't plan on using the QD feature anyway, it's lighter, and seems like it would be less likely to fail. Combined with the fact that it is also cheaper, and I was pretty much sold.

I just wanted to get some feedback before I finalized my decision.

It would be such a freak occurence that an Aimpoint (particularly a Micro) would be damaged to the point that you couldn't use the irons through it. I like the streamlined, snag free profile and the light weight, so that's what I ordered.
