You get what you pay for, in this case you aren't paying for a nice optic, which means you'll have to pay for a nice optic anyway one of these days.

Damn! I hate it all the times this has happened to me! But I am slowly getting my patience in order and saving for what is worth purchasing.

I also would not count too much on info from places like thehighroad, where most users don't actually use their stuff hard at all.

Incorrect. The Sig/iTac/Konus/Primary Arms, are all made in China.

That being said, I have a Sig (STS-081) and three of the Primary Arms sights for various guns. They all work as advertised....Would I use them if I was to be deployed, NO.

Will they work for SPORT, YES.

I have a STS-081 on my Ruger MKIII that is used for a monthly .22 steel match.
I have a Primary Arms RDS (PARDS) on my 14.5 AR for fun in the desert and at the range.
I have a PARDS on my VZ58 for the same...

I understand the need for quality optics (I'm a shutterbug also) , I have a Aimpoint C3 on my "fighting" AR.

"I" can't see putting Aimpoints on every gun just to be able to say "I have an Aimpoint" + I can't afford it...

Well, i got it......I am not a big fan of glass on my rifles but I figured I get this to see how I like it before I spend $$$$ on an aimpoint...Now i need a riser.

The Konus that I own has a battery life of three days. The dot could be brighter.
